Each season comes with its own aesthetic. I don’t know about you but every time a new season rolls around my mood changes with it. We all tend to change how we dress and also what we may cook in our kitchens. But what about our homes do we change those. Well, why not, let me share a few cheap and easy tips that can refresh each room for the coming seasons ahead.

Time For A Refresh
Each room will have some elements that can be changed out for something else. These seemingly small changes can totally change how a room looks and feels.
Take the bedroom for example, this is an easy one, as there can be many elements we can change out. For example there’s bedding, cushions, art, blankets, etc. But then take a kitchen there probably aren’t many elements we can change. What about some seasonally scented hand soap by the sink, or perhaps some tea towels, or maybe even changing out the dishcloths if you want to take it that far.

Don’t forget to include different textures. Winter is a great time of year to embrace soft plush fabrics.
Cushion Refresh
This is a very obvious change and one that can completely change a living room or bedroom. I love a good throw pillow as my husband will confirm much to his dismay.
One of the biggest problems that comes up is storage. Cushions take up a lots of storage space if you are buying the whole thing, which if we are being honest most of us do. With so many beautiful ones out there is hard not to.
But instead of buying the whole pillow why not look at covers instead. I have started doing this and it has been a game changer.

Candles
Who doesn’t love some good candle ambience, they can really set the mood. With so many varieties available there has to be something for everybody.
Taper candles are fantastic when adding colour to a room. These are my favourite they don’t take up a lot of room and I can change them out every season. Use caution though they can be addictive.

Create different moods with colored candles
Florals
Spring is the perfect time for fresh flower. Most of us are drawn to those beautiful spring blooms but don’t discount other seasons. Summer is easy when you will find an abundance of options.
What about autumn or winter these seasons are actually quite fun to play with. You may need to think outside the box and think sticks, seed pods or even evergreens. But these can give wonderful texture to a space and the smell from evergreens is so fresh and delicious.
If you want to save money in the long term then why not invest in faux florals. Yes to invest in good fakes you will need to spend a little but they will last you for years.

Add some seasonal fragrance, colour and texture with beautiful blooms.
Table settings
You may not associate this with revamping a room, you may imagine it more for occations or dinners with friends and family. But if you have a dining room or even a kitchen table why not lift it up with a seasonal table cloth and perhaps a seasonal centerpiece.
Autumn fall time is very easy, by adding a few small pumpkins and gourds you will get that instant fall impact.
In summer I love to add a bright tablecloth along with a bowl filled with all varieties of citrus. Lemons, limes, oranges and grapefruits. They add beautiful fragrance and lovely upbuilding colour. Which should be the epitome of summer.

Art Refresh
This one will require a little more effort, but once you have it down can become very easy.
You don’t necessarily need new frames but what about the art work itself. Now some art can’t be changed out but it is nice to have a few pieces that can be changes.
A great room for this is in the bathroom. This is a room that tends to be forgotten when it comes to seasonal changes. I mean who of us has the space of effort to change out towels or shower curtains. The typical go to for any change is soap but art could be another way to lift up the space.
What i love is that it doesn’t need to be seasonal this can just be a simple change in artwork or even photos. Just that change alone can be really nice and freshen up a room. You may be surprised at how it makes you feel.

Art changes don’t need to be season themed.
Storage
Now with all of these changes you may be wondering where the heck am I supposed to store all of these extra things. Well here are a few of my suggestions to make this a lot easier. And trust me I live in a very small space so I have perfected this side of living.
So whatever the room, there are always things we can do to change it for the season ahead. Lets Have some fun this coming season.
